Still suffering from aching muscles of last night’s event. But a great big smile on my face. Yes, the 1st FOWAB gathering was a success. Or just like @rezaprabowo’s words, it was beyond expectation. On a drenched cold afternoon, 60+ IT professionals getting together was way beyond our expectation.

The show was kickstarted by Gustaff of @commonroom_ID with an inspiring presentation about Bandung’s potentials. Then it was @rezaprabowo’s turn to talk about ngubek.com. He taught us that idea and ambition also needs commitment and management.

After that, @faresfarhan and @tricipta is on the stage with their pride and joy, scraplr.com. In the end of the presentation, I think everyone in the room was craving for their invitation :)

The last speaker was Anggi of @icreativelabs with a very provocative presentation on the freelancing world. Coupled with Manfred’s (@secretlaunch) confidence of Indonesian freelancers, I think we’re going to see a lot of resignation letters by Monday :)

The event was closed by a discussion about FOWAB. We gained a lot of insights about what we should do to make FOWAB a better movement, that can benefit a lot of Bandung’s IT professionals, in the future.

All in all, it was a great event. Something we, the initiators, can be very proud of. Let’s do this again soon :)
